Over the last few weeks we have been learning all about different materials. We started off with wool where we did some wool wrapping and even had a visit from a little baby lamb. Next we learnt all about wood! We did some wood rubbings and went on a Journey Stick walk where we went looking for all the different things we could find around our school. Then we learnt all about glass. As well as bringing in some glass things from home, we also carried out an investigation into which materials float or sink in water. We also made a hand using a collage of different materials. Finally, we learnt all about metal. We brought in things from home and talked about why metal was a good material to make these objects from. Now we know lots of new information about materials.
