We have enjoyed exploring the topic ‘Winter’ through play based learning over the last few weeks. Our role play winter cottage and hot chocolate stand have been great fun. We even did some winter bird watching and had to record how many of each type of bird we could see through our binoculars. We have learned about how we can keep warm in winter and the different ways that animals keep warm. We talked about deciduous and evergreen trees on our winter walk and made some bird seed cake to hang up for the birds.
